Happy (almost Halloween!)
I hope you’re all staying well and healthy as we continue to take unexpected turns and make strides in this pandemic. Have you gotten your booster shots yet? I’m probably due for one soon, as a healthcare worker, but I don’t have any concrete plans at the moment. I’m actually just getting over some bad allergies right now, which did feel a little bit like having COVID again.
Anyway, I logged onto my site this evening to the news that I just hit a very exciting milestone: 100,000 total views for my site! Thank you so much to any of you who have read my content over the years or come across my articles recently. Your support is very meaningful to me, especially since I’ve fallen off the writing bandwagon a little bit. The fact that people are still reading my posts is actually very heart-warming, particularly since I tend to cringe at some of my older content!
I’ve been in a great mental health space and very happy with my new job. It has actually been so all-consuming and intense, I have completely forgotten what it was like to be at my other job! It truly feels like a thing of the past. Like I said, it has been an extremely positive experience so far, but definitely very exhausting. It is quite literally my job to keep people alive in this hospital, and every small difference I make gives me the strength to continue working and loving what I do. The pay has also been a TON better, which I really needed if I wanted to continue living in Boston. Rent, groceries, and utilities are not cheap! Not to mention it is officially spooky season, and I am trying to go out and do fall activities with my friends as much as possible. This weekend I have plans to go on a haunted goat tour with my grad school friends (yes, GOAT tour,) and on Sunday, my other friend and I are hitting up the Museum of Science. It has taken a lot of stress off my back to be able to pay my bills without anxiety, pay my tuition, put money into my savings, AND have money leftover to do fun things for myself.
I don’t have much else to update on, but I did just want to say thank you for helping me to achieve this exciting milestone. I am excited for what’s to come in my life, and the huge jump in general life quality I have seen this year. I am so incredibly grateful for the life I have and the direction things are going in. xx
